Tuesday 25 November – MAIN Meeting – 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Alex Zaharov-Reutt

It’s November, and the final month of Sydney PC User Group Main Meetings for the year!

Time has certainly flown fast as the clichés do at this time of the year, with little more than a month to go before Christmas and plenty of shopping, parties, fun and frivolity in between still to go.

It’s also a dangerous time to be online, with scammers and online criminals trying to take advantage of all that goodwill for their own nefarious gain and probably to use some of those ill-gotten gains to buy presents for their own friends and family – rather than yours!

So, we’re very lucky to have AVG Technologies’ Michael McKinnon coming to present at our November Main Meeting.

As you’d expect, not only will he talk about the AVG range of products, but he will give us some valuable insights into what’s coming up in 2015.

He will also talk about the latest security threats, the fascinating world (and potentially dangerous hackable reality) of The Internet of Things, the latest AVG research and how certain apps can dilute your smartphone and tablet’s performance.

There will also be copies of AVG to be won before we prepare to see out the year – and then, soon after, welcome in the new!

So, renew your knowledge of all things PC and Internet security, and join us for the final main meeting of the year – as well as seeing some incredibly cool technologies I will show you, from the latest round LG Smart Watch through to LG’s incredibly bendy Yoga Pro 3 laptop.

You just never know what cool things I’ll have to show you, so don’t miss out – be there on Tuesday night and be informed, entertained and powered up with the best of what’s new in the technology zoo.

See you there!
Cheers
Alex
